Fequently Asked Questions
How long does the recruitment process last?
The recruitment process is thorough due to the nature of the work being undertaken. The timescale of the process will depend on how quickly the information we require is provided by the applicant as well as how long it takes for any referees/external bodies (such as the DBS or verifying external training certificates) to reply to Thrive Together.
Do we accept sponsorships?
We do not accept sponsorships, however, we do accept applications who have sponsorships Visas, where we would have to adhere to any restrictions on these.
Do you accept certificates gained through other providers/employers?
We do accept certificates from external providers/employers if these adhere to our compliance requirements and standards. We would also have to verify the certificates directly with the providers who have carried out the courses.
Do you accept referencing through agencies worked for?
We do accept referencing through agencies as we understand a lot of applicants’ work history will include agency work, however, we also require clinical references from locations the applicants have worked at that match the work they are going to be undertaking through Thrive Together. These clinical references will need the referee to be able to comment on the applicant’s clinical ability and must be from the work email address of a professional who is senior to the applicant.
What is your DBS process?
We require Enhanced DBSs that are Child and Adult Workforce and that are registered with the update service.
Do we provide Care certificate training?
Applicants will be required to have a Care Certificate or an NVQ relating to the role applied for. We can assist with Care Certificates if required.
What control & restraint do you accept?
We require Breakaway Training, Reducing Restraints in Health & Social Care, and PMVA as a standard. However, additional Control & Restraint courses may be required depending on the clients the applicants are looking to be placed at (such as MAPA). The PMVA course will need to be evidenced as a full (3/5) day PMVA course at some point in their career and then a most recent 1-day refresher dated within the last year.
Do you provide uniforms?
Should your role with a desired client require a uniform, we will provide you with this at the point of recruitment. Any additional uniforms can be purchased at a cost.
